How to Use and Mind Mapping Examples – Perhaps many have heard about what mind maps are and practice them.

But do you know how the origin of this mind map was created and how to practice it correctly in accordance with the idea of creator Tony Buzan?

The idea of creating a mind map actually comes from the thought that the human brain does not work in a linear way like we normally do when we read or write essays.

The human brain works through an association process. What is the association process?

It is a process that connects thought to other thoughts continuously, which is usually through the experience of what we see, we hear, and we feel.

The brain can work optimally if the left brain and right brain can work simultaneously.

If seen from its role, the left brain and right brain have different ways of working.

The left brain is the brain which role is to think short-term like thinking logically, counting, something related to language activities such as writing, reading, speaking, listening, making work priorities and making details or a list.

On the contrary, the right brain is the brain which role is to think conceptually, imagination, emotionally like feeling sad and angry and while daydreaming.

The nature of right-brain memory is the long term in contrast to the left brain.

So according to Tony Buzan, we need a method of note-taking that can involve patterns of associations and images so that our brains are more optimal in remembering, analyzing and getting ideas.

A mind map is a tool created to facilitate a person in the process of thinking (including in remembering and looking for ideas) in accordance with the workings of the human brain.

By using mind maps, we can make associations between topics and sub-topics, visualization in the form of images and visualization in the form of colors and keywords in the form of text.

A mindmap is now widely used for various purposes, such as to take notes, to make summaries, to study, find ideas or solutions and for various other purposes.
